It's just alright, it has some cool ideas but they're so buried in a cacophonous mess of sound and distortion that it just doesn't work.

Normally I wouldn't say this about a band or album because it can be dismissive, but for this that's more or less the point.

trying to dig into who the members of this band are and it's a never ending void basically
the more i learn about this band the less i know about this band

I like a lot of super chaotic, busy, messy bands, so it's not like this is a foreign sound to me, but it isn't working for me on this. They're all very talented individuals, and there are some interesting bits and pieces here, but it just misses the mark frequently - it's dense and suffocating for no reason in many areas.

the production is so nice to hear after years of overpolished mathcore

I'm really hoping that this album catches on with people.
If you haven't seen their videos on Gear Gods, look them up now. The "members" description of what they are using on the album is absolute insanity. I feel like a run down of each song would be EPIC.

as far as the members go, this video might help even though it's a bit dated. they mention "Tony and Kenny" doing MIDIs. well Tony is the short haired guy in this video who plays drums in their live shows, and the other guy plays guitar. the guy in the gear gods video is Kenny who probably does the electronics.

"kenny" is not a real person, that dude's name is joe and he's a photographer from detroit. i don't remember seeing him at the basement show but i could be wrong
the only member from the promo pics i can say for sure is in the band is the gigantic dude with long hair, he's the vocalist

Right on the mark papa.
Also, just kinda interesting that Rolo Tomassi and now this are my top albums on the year. Where one is sophisticated, polished mathcore the other is a raw, distorted mess of instrumentals that somehow works perfectly. They could both be listed in the same genre but they're both so different

everyone
I'm pretty sure the long haired dude with the beard is the only mainstay. He's on the promo pictures and he's the only constant memeber I've seen in live videos. Other than that, I've got no idea.
Oh and Ben Koller did drums for this record so I think it's safe to say he'll be on drums for their tour with Mutoid Man

yea they got Nick Yacyshyn to do the drumming on Untitled, and Chris Pennie did an EP with them. I think the guest drummers seems to be a tradition of sorts for the band for studio recording, but I did some digging and Tony Wolski is a mainstay member who does indeed do the live drumming.
