this is the best solo stuff he's released so far. his vocals add a much needed extra dimension to his music and make tracks like anoche and desafío really impressive standouts

anthony fantano can eat my dick tbh this album is simply not made for him. still a little disappointed overall by this album since I was hoping for a little more reinvention but I think it's a strong reset point for how he chooses to develop the rest of his career. Desafío is excellent and I like Urchin a lot too

I've yet to listen throughout but I love this dude and it's terrific that he's currently the artist representing my country in contemporary music.

I don't even want to know. Sometimes I agree with him, sometimes I don't. So far this year we're on opposite ends of the spectrum. That Father John Misty album is deplorable

dream, there's an interesting article about how this project speaks to venezuelan youth diaspora and I would love to hear your thoughts http://bit.ly/2ocFAF3

I feel like Arca just inherently represents that demographic because he's the only openly gay relevant music artist in the scene, but if anything I don't know if Arca is getting much buzz or attention in Venezuela; I no longer live in the country so I'm not aware, and his outlandishness sonically and visually as an artist belonging to a relatively conservative country I assume would not do very good for him. But, me personally, as part of the Venezuelan queer youth demographic, am satisfied with him being the artist to carry the torch.

Desafio is still the best song here and might be his best song overall

I'll just never understand why, conservative or liberal, why the fuck it matters who someone likes and why people feel like they gotta step in and intervene.

Desafío will probably be my song of the year. Still too early to call necessarily but I don't see anything beating it. Listening with the video makes it even better
