Greg actually fits this style of music perfectly imo. Chino's voice doesn't fit crosses at all, which is why I just can't get into them. Greg's voice is easily meant to be heard in this setting, even a jazz setting aswell I feel he could fit.
I'm not too versed in the "elitist lore" of snyth pop but I don't recall it ever being anything groundbreaking, just infective and catchy. Which the music and Greg easily delivers. Though I agree in parts the music does come across extremely thin. Distanced and Strange Quark definitely could've had better music. Ice to Never and Secret Scream are fucking addictively catchy though

It's not about not being groundbreaking, it's that some of the songs/beats are a bit half-baked. I didn't find it all to be THAT infectious… just very pleasant. Greg definitely has a great voice and it gets the job done here, but the music behind him leaves a little to be desired. Still cool stuff though.
