Cobain talked a lot about rock n roll mythology and legacies with people close to him, esp his family, and he clearly wanted to be remembered in that sort of light after he'd gone. His living wish would have been for his artistic legacy to remain untarnished and I'm pretty sure a release like this counts as the sort of thing he'd have disapproved of.

I think this realistically shouldn't have even been reviewed as Kurt's work. Extremely doubtful that he would've wanted this material to be released, and it was likely not even written for that purpose. Judging the quality of work seems rather redundant, and even somewhat unfair.
