Excellent album. Nice review too. I disagree with your enthusiasm for Gilmour's foray into jazz. The song feels totally out of place on this album and very forced, as if something different was needed tot make this album complete. it touches on most jazz cliches, and brings the album down as a whole.

Guitar playing is amazing, I don't remember being so taken by the solo's on his previous release.

The second half of this is all killer. Today and Yellow Dress are my favorites.

Yeah aside from the t/t this is probably his best solo work

This is pretty good but I'm not big on the jazz track either.

@Tuna it's a Gilmour song based off an ad jingle that pretty much says enough about it

I've noticed that people either love or hate the jingle, doesn't seem to be much middle ground.

Long wait for a follow up to " On An Island" which is brilliant in its own way, Rattle The Locks is slightly better in my opinion. Faces Of Stone is the best song on this album even though it's very similar to "There's No Way Out Of Here" from his 1978 solo debut. Mr. Gilmour still sounds great as he always has with his unmistakable vocals and signature guitar sound. 4.5 for me

In Any Tongue is my favourite track. In the verses pretty reminiscent of Comfortably Numb.
