Can’t go wrong with any of the first four, all are 4-4.5 rating range. Haven’t heard the newer stuff. Love Deluxe is def best, and this is 2nd imo

Unpopular opinion but I think this might be my least fave of the first five Sade. It’s definitely the most melodramatic.

your rating is still appropriate so i'm not sure how unpopular your opinion actually is. i go back and forth between this one and debut being my least favorite, depending on my mood. can't really fault quiet storm music for being melodramatic though lol

Not so much faulting it for being melodramatic as recognising that the unrelenting melodrama prevents it from scoring higher. Debut and Stronger than Pride definitely have more hues in their palette and I think it helps.
