Dude unfortunately none of TPT's albums have blown me away, as much as I've wanted to like them. The production is really good, the musicianship is good, but... I don't know I'm not really feeling it

With the exception of this album, which is FANTASTIC, none of their stuff has blown me away either. Variations on a Dream is probably my 2nd favorite though - it's a really solid album.

All the Wars and to a lesser extent Someone Here is Missing were quentessential examples of heavy alt-rock meeting prog, but this and What Have We Sown are subtler and more substantial. But those are the four ones on which I found they had created something original.

Perhaps I should check out Variations more seriously, but I'm still having a hard time getting past that absolutely repulsive cover.

Might not quite be a 5 as 15-year old me thought, but this is still a fantastic piece of art rock with a bit of prog, and probably the best thing these guys did.
