Couldn't agree more! Finally a great review of this album. I'm a quite big fan of the band since their early years but this is a disappointment, and don't know why the 10/10 reviews everywhere around...

Pretty disappointing, band sound is still great but there's basically a lack of new ideas...

I understand what all you guys are saying, but I still think there's something here to be enjoyed. The first 3 tracks, it rains down, sorrow plagues, time and pressure, and end of days are all pretty fantastic songs in my opinion. And anyone who's 2.5'd it should 3 it for the album art alone haha. Definitely the best art I've seen in 2012.

2.5 seems very harsh to me... there is a lot to be given credit for on this album. I love The Disappointment too, but then i heard Time and Pressure and thought wow, they have really taken that aspect of their sound to another level. The only underwhelming tracks for me are "The Waves and the Sea" (which is just down to personal tastes, because i'm not a big fan of "Frozen" either) and "Salvation Lies Within" (which was something they wanted to experiment with i guess). Apart from that, i think some of their best material is on this album "Crusader", "It Rains Down", "End of Days", awesome stuff.

I don't like the album art at all. The content is dull and the colours are drab.

It's worth a 3.5/4. Not as good as their past work though.
