Forever Fields having a mysterious aura lololol. And I actually thought Soma was one of the better tracks. Knives is one of the worst songs I've heard this year.

It's good to see that constructive criticism and maturity is hard for members of this site to come by. If you don't like my review or how I word something, why not express it in a way you would talk to an actual person? If you don't like the album then fine, state it and move on. I was having an enjoyable discussion with some people about the album and 2 or 3 people find it necessary to rip everything about it. If you want to be constructive about the album or my review please do so. If not, write your own damn review and post your disruptive comments there.

But we're enjoying ripping into it? The album that is. I'm not going to be constructive when the band isn't listening. And we laughed at some of the wording, don't be so butthurt man. Also, this is Sputnik/the Internet.

Chevelle's newest album is soooo good. I don't understand all of the hate. After the first two tracks, the album is different than what they normally write and the lyrics are fantastic. On 10 Years, this new album, after only one listen, is probably my second fav. 10 Years album - behind the autumn effect of course.

chevelle's newest is bland, has a couple really good ones and a lot of radio material. This however rules after more listens, on the level of division

As a big Chevelle fan, I have found Sci-Fi Crimes to be a bit of a let down after Vena Sera, but I love Hats Off To The Bull. In terms of alternative rock, Chevelle and Janus are the only two bands I'd put ahead of 10 Years.

Nox Aeris was great, but RRR and Armor are nowhere near 10 Years.
And I'd like to know what people are listening to to find MTM "boring." Dillinger Escape Plan or
something?

Nox Aeris is so far my album of the year. The whole album is simply amazing. As for the album being boring, I find that each listen I find a new interesting track. I've loved Tightrope recently and still think ...And All the Other Colors is a masterpiece.

Nox Aeris is good, but AOTY? No way in hell, man.

For what albums I've purchased this year, Nox Aeris is my favorite so far.

Okay, just listened to this album, wow does it suck, like WOW this thing sucks. I am VERY disappointed. I was really anxious to hear this and I feel so let down, my review of this is going up tonight and it's going to be anything but positive.

Seems that "polarizing" hit the nail on the head lol.

"Nox Aeris" was my AOTY until this game out. Honestly, this feels just like "Nox Aeris" with some Tool thrown in to me, which makes it the better album in my eyes. This was everything I had hoped 10 Years would write after the disappointing "Feeding The Wolves."

Dude I'm sorry, I'm thinking of giving this a 2/5. This is seriously the flattest alternative metal/post-grunge album I've heard in a long time. This is unbelievably dull.

Really? Because it's the best alternative metal album that I've ever heard.

I really don't see how this is a 5, like, I'm really failing to see this being anything more than a 3
actually. Care to explain the rating? Because, if you're rating this classic, you're putting it among
the greatest albums ever made.

Album Rating: 3.5
And I'm failing to see how this is anything -less- than a 3. Care to explain your rating?
I put it close to Lateralus, which I consider as being the best album ever made. I've listened to this in it;s entirety 21 times now, and haven't even started to get bored with it. It's diverse, has well-written lyrics with culturally relevant themes, and is solid musically. It doesn't rely on catchy hooks to be interesting. It throws in some fairly abrupt time changes, plays with dissonance enough to be interesting while still sounding coherent and musical. It has everything I look for in the genre, and executes it in a manner which I would consider ideal. Or is that not a good enough answer for you?

Dude chill, I'm not trying to be a dick or anything, I'm was just generally curious. I'm gonna write a review of this and submit it tonight probably, so be sure to read that if you want an explanation of my rating.
