I hate pop punk, i frickin hate it. But this band for some reason appeals to me. The lyrics are alot better than most pop punk and the vocals are pretty unique. Nothing special about the instrumentation besides its extremely catchy.

who gives a hairy rat's ass if the singer is getting fatter?! its a sad state of affairs when a site thats supposed to be about music has people discussing the bellies of musicians!

and if being fat is supposed to somehow decrese talent, then read this and take it back now, just two examples of "portly" musicians who rock like fuck...

CHUCK BILLY (Testament) - This guy is pretty big, but he can roar like no other fucker!

PIG CHAMPION (Poison Idea) R.I.P. - Rivalling most sumos, but brutal as fuck, and he played guitar as well as singing (which I'd imagine would've been difficult for a guy of his size).

Heh, no matter how much I want to be a hXc tr00 8r0074L metal head, I've encountered myself listening to this album a fair amount of times. The hit single "Sugar we're going down" and "dance, dance" always comes across my playlist and I think "Sure, why not".

It's a fun band to listen, and they are crazy playing live, I don't know. They just lured my back to pop-punk.

Great review.

You're missing the point. The fact that their fans are brainwashed tards shouldn't affect how you listen to their music. You're listening to it as yourself, not as other people, and liking a few of their songs won't immediately lump you into the tard category; as long as you personally recognise that they're not original or new, then it doesn't matter if some idiots do.
And they're not as big posers as some other bands out there. The long song titles are a bit try-hard though.
As I've already said, I think, they do have a few catchy songs.
This band annoys me for two reasons other than they suck: A. The are posers and 2. Every one who likes them is brain washed to think this band is original and new
Can you explain as to how they exactly are "posers"?
I enjoy how kripes convenniently ignores all the bad stuff written about this band on the comments page. Which is one way to go about handling criticism (probably the best way to do it when the band being criticised is Fall out boy).
Dude, people can have their own opionons, just because someone states that they disagree with me doesn't mean I need to either "convert", or "flame" them, like I'm guessing is what you would do.
Now I understand Kripes that you will read this (you do have 90 bjillion posts) and you will probably see the need to make a stand by posting a nasty comment about myself or my mother. To this I would say "Fire Away".
People are free to have their own opinions; I don't post things about people's mothers because they would disagree with my opinion. This Message Edited On 04.08.06

^^ I would say you are, and FOB are to me, just yet another carbon copy of all the punk/emo/pop/rock bands out there today. I like listening to the classics and good music, so I generally don't pay much attention to basically bad music like this band for example.

dont you drag star wars into this fight man

and pumppumpwee, how are they posers?

just because ppl like them doesnt mean they think theyre new or orignal, i like FOB just because its feel good pop-punk music

He wasn't talking about Star Wars, he was talking about The Hebrew Hammer.
It's alright Iluvatar, at least someone gets it.
And Thursdayrage is right, it's just feel-good pop music. That's all. Light as air.

Wow... I've never actually seen The Hebrew Hammer, I just think it's a funny name. I suppose Fall Out Boy does a good job of playing crap if that's what you were alluding to Iluvatar. This Message Edited On 04.10.06

Ok I listen to the singles and I see nothing special. I heard "Sugar We're Going Down " the first time, heard the intro and thought this could be good, but then it just falls completely flat. I'm not gonna rate this album because I haven't listened to the entire thing, but from what I've heard so far I'm not liking this band at all. I have listened to more than one song just incase you didn't catch that. This Message Edited On 04.12.06

Well if you haven't listened than how can you say you don't like them yet? What if they saved the best for last?
