The second half of the album slays. Really digging Isle of Avalon, The Man Who Would Be King, and When the Wild Wind Blows.

I agree about the second half of the album and the review. Really takes some time to start sinking in. A Matter of Life and Death is better to me though.

I can't pick out a song i don't enjoy. originally the songs like the final frontier, mother of mercy, and coming home were a bit tough to "like"....mainly since expectations with maiden are always though the roof. However, after 10-12 listens (since tuesday!) I can say that the album really does succeed as a whole.

we will see how the replay value fits, as i found that brave new world which is still my favorite new era album ( after SSOASS days) took a little while to sink in, as did Dance of Death. AMOLAD is still on the rocks for me, but i think some time will bring it back as does every maiden album for me!

also, I truly feel this albums strongest points are bruce's singing and the lyrics. when the wild wind blows is such an amazing piece of storytelling. anyone on the rocks at least grab the lyrics and listen through start to finish.

Bought this yesterday, probably gonna listen to it after work because I want to have time to hear the whole thing in one sitting. Apparently, this is gonna debut at #3 on the US charts which is awesome.

The studio version of Fear of the Dark is actually very boring. That song only works when it's played live. But then again, it works VERY well when that happens. Best example: Rock in Rio.

It wierd because the album length did not effect me as much as i thought it would. The Alchemist and

When The Wild Wind Blows are my favorites.

When the Wind Blows sounds like fucking Pocahontas.
