See, after the initial shock it's ok. Still lacking but a few good songs.

I'm not even going to download this. I was looking for a reason to dislike this band. I saw them live with Kylesa once, wasn't horrible and Precambrian is okay but the band's fans annoy the shit out of me.

Rosetta's newest will destroy this.

my feelings are kind of similar to burn's, although i think metaphysics is one of the best tracks. gotta love the layered vocals in that one.

If you layer shit you still just have a pile of shit.

The vocals are what kill this for me. If it was the heavier vocals for the entire album i could probably justify a 4, at least for fanboys sake. Even though there are some just plain bad songs on here

Everyone just seems to be bitching cause he's not screaming or growling constantly. The vocals are fine, Ptolemy is honestly the only terrible track on this. A few are immense and the rest are just alright not warranting the 1's and 2's people are throwing out.

I think Ptolemy is awesome. I honestly can't see what people are hating about it.

Precambrian was my 2007 fav release but this... thing... WTF ! Staps should have take total control of the composition process just like before ! Because this shit is very disapointing, I don't buy an album from The Ocean to listen to some pop vocals, inspid riffing and basic song structure !

Albums beastly, nowhere near Precambrian standards but then again it would have been quite the accomplishment to top that.

This was really disappointing until the last two songs...but they totally made up for it. I combined them into one song which is now my second favorite all time behind only Mastodon's "Hearts Alive". Epic stuff. I knew there had to be something worthwhile here and boy was there ever.
