I didn't know you had a band. "Skins & Bones" is still my favorite.
I just saw a news article on another site that said this album is selling pretty well.

I don't. I just have a few musicians that do other stuff that I love singing with. I don't stay in one place for long enough to get that shit together.
I think Skin & Bones is one of my least favourites. It's not bad by any means but surrounded by what it is I think it gets lost a bit. Weakend is awesome.

i really like new vampire weekend and eels, but like i said this probably beats both

I just really love the melodies on the bridge section of the song. Yeah, "Weakends" is great too. This and Monolith are tied for me.

haha i actually only see that as an intro to the record, but i can understand how it might be the most played thing ever for some people. still... her words and pulp fiction for me. and Stand Too Close. i love that line:
"i have apologised a billion times when i've gone off the wall like busta rhymes and pulled a stupid stunt that left you thinking there was something wrong with me."

Ya, for me it's Worker Bee, Her Words, Pulp Fiction and Skin And Bones. Stand Too Close is ok, but it's maybe a little campfire-y for me.

I dont know I think that campfire-y feel is what makes it so special and fun to listen to.

Solid review, and album is a very pleasant surprise after Even If It Kills Me. Band has all the ingredients. It's nice to see them coming together.

the lyrics are gay as hell sometimes but I really like it.

I think this is slowly becoming my favorite MCS album. If it wasn't for "Hysteria", this would easily crush CTTM.

But Hysteria rulez d00d.
|
| |
After 4 or 5 listens, Disappear and Pulp Fiction are the only ones that really stick out to me. DEFINITELY not as solid as CTTM, but on par with EIIKM.
|
| |
i love I am the Movie and CTTM. but really, this one might beat them both. its just too damn good.

Hate powerpop and pop punk with a passion, but this band has always been something more. They've always had much more diversity, better vocals, and a more appealing sound than other pop failures. They'll never be an Opeth or a maudlin of the well, and maybe they won't be a Sufjan Stevens, but hey, they are a really good band. Their best yet.

2010 started rocking with this record, Butch Walker's newest album and Crime In Stereo's I Was Trying To Describe You To Someone.

Combining the best elements of their previous 3 LP's, 'My Dinosaur Life' is the finest release of Motion City Soundtrack's career. Without filler & containing sufficient variety, this is a step up musically since it allows both the drums & guitars time to shine. Fun, catchy & crunchy, it really is worthy of the label "pop-punk". Justin Pierre's detailed songwriting/storytelling is as fantastic as ever, while he also seems to have found greater vocal range. It all comes together on the phenomenal 'Disappear', a genuine song of the year contender. Recommended Tracks: Disappear, Pulp Fiction, History Lesson & The Weakends.
