Been really digging this lately. Not usually a fan of post-rock/metal but this hits a chord for me.

Geneva through to Malko is great. The other tracks aren't as awesome. Fathom just acts like Campaign off of Station. It's a stepping stone for the next track. The last two I didn't care too much about, I already had a different version of Philos (Off the split) and it just doesn't do enough to be exciting for me.
Geneva is still my fav though. Melee shows how much this band needs Dave on the drums. His creativity on a small kit is immense. The band has such great cohesion together.
Solid 4. From track 2 to 5 is near flawless. The other tracks prevent this from getting a higher score than that though. I still think this band has it in them to make a perfect heavy post-rock album.

^Essentially the same as me, except I like Fathom seeing as I've never listened to their older albums.

If you like this album you should check out the last Maybeshewill album dude. Most importantly the song "How To Have Sex With A Ghost". Those guys are really good heavy post-rock too.

I rarely listen to Station, so Fathom might be more appealing to me. I don't think they'll be able to top this, if they do it will be the perfect post-metal album. The heavy songs are crushing while the more post-rocky songs are beautiful. It's really the perfect balance.
I was thinking they could have reordered the songs to make listening to Philos more worth it to sit through (I usually lose interest by the time I reach it,) but I couldn't really see it anywhere else on the album.
The first 5 tracks are perfect, Muhammad and Philos are excellent, but it's hard for them to compete with the high energy of the previous 5 tracks, which makes them look anti-climatic in comparison.

Station is probably their weakest effort but I love Harper Lewis and the title track off that album a lot. The rest besides maybe the closer on it are just throw away tracks.

Listened to How To Have Sex...
First half of the song is fucking epic, but it kinda trails off and gets boring by the end.

Co-Conspirators and This Time Last Year are worth checking out too. Point being that if you like this band you'll probably like them as well (even if it takes a few listens).

If you dig that then you've also got "And So I Watch You From Afar" to take a look at as well. Great band also.

This and Pelican are tied for best instrumental metal album of the year.

Didn't like the previous album, but this is on of the best instrumental post-rock albums ever made.
My personal favorite song from this album: Geneva
