I wouldn't call this band over rated, over here in aus they are barely known...

Um what.
They're pretty well known for a punk band. Sort of like if you listen to the radio you would have heard them.

Not mainstream music stations. As far as i know, only the die hard music lovers and punk kids listen to them. I am in a country town though so yeah...

Can you think of anyone who might be able to do that? ***nudge nudge, wink wink***

uhh your long lost twin brother?

I'm a lazy enough reviewer at the best of times, I don't think I'll ever be able to write on a regular basis.

Haha yes, it was a very good game indeed. I must admit I thought you had it in the dying stages of the last quarter!

To be honest I dont think muse are in any debt to U2. Thats more a coldplay.

Bellamy is 5 times the vocalist that Bono is. Also i dont really think Dom thinks of Mullen Jr as a inspiration since on his myspace he doesn't mention him: "The drummers that have influenced me are Stewart Copeland, Roger Taylor, Buddy Rich, Nick Mason, Tre Cool, Tim Alexander, Dave Grohl"

Muse fans of Green Day?...
Love it when I find out my favourite bands like each other.

Gee, I dunno DavID... I think your comparisons are taking a few liberties there mate. Maybe it's the way The Edge plays piano that gives Matt Bellamy all those ideas. I never saw the 'Lemon' comparisons in 'Citizen Erased' myself! :-)

Now James, why did you have to go & mention Green Day and get Croc all excited?

LOL Ross, if you find my long lost twin brother, let him know I exist will you? I dunno, I reckon you can lift your game mate... Especially if that Contributor status is forthcoming.

As for Rise Against being over-rated or not, I guess it comes down to which circles you are in and how you mainly listen to your music. There is no way that any radio except for JJJ & subscription-based stuff plays them down under, while they actualy get played on rock radio over in the States. But if you chat to anyone who knows their punk type of music, then yeah, Rise Against are near the top of the tree... Where they should be!

Oh yeah, the Croc thinks he is Tre Cool.

Sorry, I've been offline most of the night as WrestleMania 25 had most of my attention. I'm certain DavID would have been happy to know that a couple of songs from AC/DC's 'Black Ice' was constantly blaring during it.

Actually, to relate wrestling back to Rise Against, it may have been the first time I ever heard them when one of their songs was used as a PPV theme about 4 or 5 years back!

YEAH MAN SOLD OUT TOURS MEAN NOTHING

SO disappointed at the results of the world championships. Matt & Jeff and Taker/HBK ftw, though.

Haha, I'd have to more than 'up my game' Davey. I was gonna post my next review last week sometime but still haven't finished it, might get on that nowish actually.

It was really strange with Rise Against's Melbourne tour. About 3 months after tickets were released & a month before the gig, there were still heaps of tickets left... Good seats & floor tickets also. It was fairly full come the night, not sold out, but close. I do know they sold out Bricbane quickly though.

DavID, WrestleMania was only just ok, but should have been better. Taker/HBK was great, but I agree that H & Cena winning was the wrong way to go with at least one of them. Jeff vs Matt was pretty good, although they are still capable of so much better. The rest was oh so blah.

Get to it Ross... Or Sputnik will be looking for your long lost twin to replace you.
