Personally while I love Trans it doesn't leap out to me in particular in their discography. But yeah it's a good idea to check their early stuff, and don't forget to check the Forbidden Love EP as that often gets forgotten. Also Narrow Stairs is worth your time as well. Most recent stuff is a bit boring.

Transatlanticism is excellent, but it feels more calculated than their earlier works. Less genuine.

Sin have you checked the Stability EP? It's essential stuff.

And this is the chance I never got to make a move

But we just talk about the people we've met in the last 5 years

And will we remember them in ten more?

Some of the best winter vibes ever on this here album ~

Info is one of the weaker ones but it's great.

Snowy day here, perfect day to jam this.

Information Travels Faster and Styrofoam Plates are two of my favourites, too. I wish I liked this more, though.

Band is so overlooked because of Plans and what came after.

Not really, Plans are what blew them up and people just didn't catch on to the stuff that came before (as ide from Transatlanticism).

Overlooked in the sense that I feel a lot of music fans dismissed them as a dull indie band. That's unfair, though, and you make a good point: Plans is what blew them up, regardless of whether I think the first half of their discography is better. :]

Plans is great but the albums before are better.

I like Narrow Stairs, but I hold We Have The Facts a lot higher. Even higher than Transatlanticism sometimes.

I'm finding as I go through the their earlier albums that they all feel like framework for a more complete sound; potential that was realized with Transatlanticism and and was eventually run dry. This is just my opinion. Honestly, until recently, I didn't realize how many people were into their older albums.
