I thought this cd was great, tons of groove to it. I liked it more then the new opeth and thats saying a lot cause opeth is one of my favs.

I liked this album, but it's just... some tracks, like At the Behest, Treasonous, Drink from the Cup, Hades.. I like, but I don't even register lot of them during playing this album..:/ But it's still good, but much worse than Nightmares Made Flesh, which was (one of) the best death metal albums ever for me

(Pretend my english is good.)

I understand what you mean Sabottheory, it's definitely very weak as an entire album.

I don't know guys, just finished spinning this again, I can see where some of ya'll are coming from in that it's really standard and fairly basic death metal but it's so consistently awesome to me. I can't find anything I don't like about it, therefore I must rate it high. NMF got too noisome, too disorganized in a not cool dm way for me. I just find this much tighter, smoother, more engaging, and less of the "trying too hard" type.

I realize that isn't a particularly good justification/explanation, but w/e, this owns and dominates my taste for straight DM.This Message Edited On 10.09.08

Rasputin: Your opinion ;) I don't like most of death metal bands, but like death metal in the form, which presents Death, new Behemoth, Kataklysm, Bloodbath... and a lot of melodic or progressive death bands, but it's too far away from death, so it doesn't count xD

I have to disagree with Rasputin on this one, this is some pretty kick ass vocals. Mikeal's vocals are just amazing, along with some killer drumming.
