Huh, fancy that. This was one of the only doom albums from 08 that I enjoy and listen to daily. Although Dismantling Devotion is much better this is solid Euro flavored American death/doom. I urge you to get that immediately.

I just wish they had expanded their sound a little bit. You know, vary the tempos a little, adjust the rifting formula.

I thought this album pretty much ruled tbh.
|

nah, it was pretty boring at first listen. im a fan of their previous album more
|
| |
so if I didn't like the first two albums I won't like this correct?

I'd say that's correct.

I wouldn't say this is a boring album at all.

This is a slightly less interesting Dismantling Devotion so if you don't like how they used to sound I wouldn't get this.

I wouldn't say this is a boring album at all. It's not boring at all. It's... well, it's just losing that "new car smell" for me at this point.

This has grown on me quite a bit. I now think it's a solid logical step-up for Daylight Dies.
Black metal Opeth = Enslaved
Doom Metal Opeth = Daylight Dies
Power Metal Opeth = ???????

Or power metal could not exist, that would be cool too.

Yeah, well Slough Feg played a bit of celtic tinged power/heavy metal and they are the most fucking ultimate M3TAL band ever.

But then Lost Horizon wouldn't exist.
And Lost Horizon is :D

Firewind ftw. Then again, I haven't heard Lost Horizon.

Firewind. All this talk about power metal is making me fell....rather..gay. I'm sorry for bringing it up. Slough Feg- Traveller, is the main priority for all of you supposed M3TALHEADS.
