hmm id give it a 4 out of 5. This album is what REALLY got metalcore popular. Really like the guitarists (Dan Jacobs, and Travis Miguel). I think all of Atreyu's other albums suck, though.

lol I still like Alex's screaming on a few tracks. I just wish the lyrics weren't so gay, I only end up sitting there feeling vaguely silly when listening to this. I'll leave my rating for now though

An improvement upon visions but not as good as The Curse in my opinion. This album has a lot of emotion and intensity but I don't think it achieves as much as The Curse does. They really change it up with the Curse and pull off a more listenable album than this one.

One of the first albums I purchased with screaming (sad I know) and also my first introduction to Atreyu, this album just plain rocks.
Side note - "Her Portrait In Black" hits just as hard as any of this albums tracks, check it out.
