S/T is pretty close to dirt imo

but not this.

remember when this album was announced and everyone forgot Jerry was and always has been the primary songwriter and thought it would suck without Layne

Jerry may be the focal point of AiC but the music isn't quite the same without Layne's voice.

This album is better than Tripod IMO. Tripod had some great songs and some songs I rarely listen to. This album is way more consistently good and listenable.

Self titled has Frogs, which automatically makes it superior.

That's true, Source, but the new material is certainly up to par.

Production is also really bad on the newer albums, but the music itself is good.

This is my favorite record from them. The riffs are better than anything they did the first time around.

It's a pretty good continuation of this. I might prefer it actually.

Choke and the t/t on here are two of the best songs they've ever written

Finally got around to this and it's awesome. Prefer it over Facelift, but it doesn't touch Dirt or Jar of Flies, and the S/T is slightly better.
