No complaints with this press. You can hear everything going on in the background. The purple vinyl is slick too.

It's still available. The only downside is it took a nearly a month to make it to my front door.

Might be the best sounding record in my collection.

All variants, except for the clear (limited to 100) are still available from Neuropa. It's probably gonna sit for a while, since all four variants are limited to 1000 copies and less. But yeah, it's a beautifully done record, and the addition of the Metamorphosis EP is a huge plus. Only problem on mine is a ticking sound on the intro to We Are The Dead. After seeing a pic of someone's spin clean of six new records and the cleaner fluid being covered in a bunch of muck, the records probably could use a clean.

Clear's 100 (sold out), Purple's 300 (one is mine!), White's 600, and Black's 1000.

Yep, got the clear the moment the announcement dropped. It's more of a frosted clear with a few streaks of white. Perfectly compliments the somewhat wintry feel of this album.

I heard it looks cool. I wanted the Purple from the get go so I went with that one. I didn't have a solid purple record in my collection. I do have a Boris/Torche split on Orange and Purple. Aaron Turner did the artwork for that one.

It does, but the purple looks pretty great too from the initial photos the label put out. I don't believe I got a purple record, but came close to getting the new Boris/Merzbow 4LP set on baby pink/purple swirl or whatever it is.

4LP set? Woo, $$$. And it does look good. I think we made a good investment. I play all the records I buy though (with the exception of the Blackstar 2015 Euro Press I have that I haven't opened).

It wasn't too costly, but I went with the normal version (if you want the black, you gotta buy Parts One and Two, while the colored set has both together) because colored vinyl (from my experience, mainly with Goldfrapp's Felt Mountain) has more surface noise than needed. Making a good investment is the last thing I'm worried about, but I see where you're coming from. The U.S. repress of Blackstar sounds like garbage from what I've heard, so I'm glad I dodged a bullet on that and pre-ordered when it was announced.

Hilarious that p4k gave this a 2.6. Not to start one of those discussions but I found it genuinely pretty funny.

Hilarious how juvenile the review is when that's precisely the criticism the writer levels at the album.
