I hella dug the production on ...To the Beat. I think it worked better overall as it was a lot more raw.

the songs on there also felt less forced and much more passionate and, as you said, raw. the aggression is great too, makes this sound like generic post hardcore by comparison.

this isn't bad, though.

I'm gonna jam that album now so I can remember that they used to be more interesting to listen.

I'm losing sleep, I'm losing friends, I've got a love hate love with the city I'm in. I'll count the hours having just one wish. If I'm doing fine, there's no point to this.

Every single "Wave" band that was great altered their sound after gaining some popularity and the only one that was successful with the change was Pianos, in my opinion.

Sup, son?

Pianos is good. Their new song is good. The Lack Long After was pretty excellent. Give them a chance sometime.

Nothing much man. Been a while.

Yeah, the wave bands have gotten huge imo. Defeater is doing warped man. Like...the fuck? Lol.

That's cool for them though. Glad they could all find success since they are solid bands and deserve the attention. Even if a lot of their fans are kids who prob listen to like one song and quote it a million times.

Is Defeater seriously doing Warped? I had an ounce of hope that the next album they dropped wouldn't suck the same amount of dick Empty Days did and now you have just crushed my dreams.

I honestly don't think Empty Days sucked that hard, but rather just fell into the massive fucking hype vacuum their previous work created. Out of anyone else it would have been acceptable and interesting to say the least, but as a follow-up to Lost Ground? Fuck no.

Dillinger, yes. Streetlight's first album was good and the other was shit. I know that Warped occasionally has bands that don't suck total dick, but it's like 2% of their lineup.

Yep. Idk when it got announced, but I saw it yesterday. ED&SN hella got sucked into the whole hype train thing. It's a solid album, but god damn is Travels a lot better.

As I'm no longer in either middle or high school, warped tour really no longer concerns me. Give me an intimate, crammed shithole any day over some big-ass fairground. It's not a goddamn rave.

I'd say it's a solid 3.0 album but when you compare it to Travels and Lost Ground, it becomes a 2.5.

I'm sorry Demi, I just don't like their second album at all. I'm assuming their new album that leaked was a joke too since it was so horrible it could have only been intentional.

agreed, i much prefer a more intimate show to a huge festival or stadium

depends on the artist, though. I couldn't imagine seeing Rush or Iron Maiden outside a stadium setting.
