i've tried many times but this one doesn't click with me, just pretty meh imo
I do really like "Catalyst" and "Jihad" fuckin rules m/m/m/ but the rest of the album is lackluster tbh. nothing bad, but every song is pretty generic paint-by-numbers Slayer

It's between a 3 and a 3.5 for me.
But yeah modern Slayer just ain't for me either =(
Not at all, at least.

Honestly that one never did much for me. But I was thinking modern era Slayer since the early stuff is pretty consistent and universally loved. Anything past '99, that's where the opinions are at.
|
| |
Oh I see. Wouldn't rate this a 5/5 but yeah this is the best album from their modern era. Last two were disappointingly stale.

The only Slayer album I have true nostalgia for is RIB. This is literally my second favourite. It hits hard and fast like RIB and doesn't outstay it's welcome, but it's more mature and diverse. I have a huge appreciation for this one, go fuck yourself.

This is really cool to listen. I jam it quite often, lots of awesome tracks and even the others are still cool. Not as mindblowing as their classic stuff, but still definitely worth listening to
