Agreed with everyone saying this maybe wouldn't be a classic if I were to hear it for the first time today, but hearing Tunnels in 2008 literally changed my appreciation for music; at that point my favourite bands were Foo Fighters and Red Hot Chili Peppers

RPCP were so damn huge back in the day and now I barely ever hear them on the radio. I was mostly listening to uk bands (06-07) like arctic monkeys, bloc party, Franz Ferdinand and the occasionally strokes record. I can’t pinpoint exactly when I heard this first but it was definitely love at first listen. Tunnels was a revelation to me back when I first heard it and it still has that magic touch to it that makes me want to scream along to the lyrics like my life depended on it. Fucking classic [2].

Yeah I feel like after Stadium Arcadium they sort of lost relevance. I never even listened to I'm With You when it came out, by then I'd moved on from them completely. There's definitely something magic about "Tunnels" and I would say it's one of the best songs of all time in my opinion, certainly one of my all-time favourites.
