They are... not good at picking their opening acts. A few years ago, the Antlers opened up for them, and THAT was amazing. It was right after Burst Apart came out. The past 2 times I've seen them, however, the support acts have not been stellar.

I would have killed to see The Antlers.

my one sentence review of Entrance:

"Entrance were so bad they had me searching for an Exit."

After coming close to 5'ing this, for some reason this band/album has come to grow off me completely! Don't really know what to rate it now.

I was jamming it during a gentle snow storm and it just felt soothing and fitting.

Wonderful. I would do so if it were snowing here, but alas.

Not bad but I have an irrational hatred of this album for ruining post-rock. Sure you could look to mogwai's debut for the source of loud-quiet dynamics in post-rock. Or GYBE who perfected it. But this is the album that popularised the formula. They did not have the drones of gybe or the atmosphere of mogwai fear satan. Instead they reduced gybes sound to a pop formula. A trend which changed post-rock from a genre of experimentation to a genre of endless copycats.
