only exception would be like if you knew the vocalist or something. Or if you're in that band and said lyrics are an integral part of your worldview and are closely related to your band as a whole.

But even then to not be cheesy they'd have to be short and probably a bit vague.

Let's not divert from the sheer idiocy of Snide's comments

"Narcissistic does not equal stupid. Let's not get focused on the wrong thing here."

Good point, not thinking clearly on my end but that still does blow my mind.

seems like they're changing the pace of it too so it could turn out to be pretty interesting. I'm glad too, I'd like to see what they will do while not relying on so much of the shoegaze element they use.

I read an interview with them and they said they were rushed for time to get it written and recorded and I think that's pretty obvious when you listen to the new track and how clunky some of the transitions were, and that tacked-on outro. Still, I dig it, and I'm hoping for more kvlt chugging or similarly kvlt influences. Hopefully the songwriting's a bit better on the rest of the tracks, though.

love the new track too, it feels really short though being 8 and half minutes

I'm kind of glad they shifted towards shorter songs. I have no problems with longer tracks but I don't feel like their tracks need to be the length they are because that's one of my main complaints on this record. Some tracks go on for too long when it could have ended earlier, especially the interludes.

4 main tracks is the OCD sweet spot for me when it come to lengthy bm like this, so I sorta hope one of the tracks is either instrumental or has a lengthy intro a la Vertigo to mix it up a bit.

im just hoping that there won't be any more weird transitions from minor scale palm muted riffs to major scale alt rock leads

So it should, 8 and a half minutes is not long by any stretch of the imagination.

lol it is when the average song length is 3 or 4 minutes

conversely you can say it's very long when compared to 15 second grind songs. you can't compare to extremes, 8 is pretty long dude
