hammock have been my number 1 band in terms of listening time for like the last... 2 years. their music does not get old, i find it so comforting and introspective. being neurodivergent i appreciate having a reliable 'emotional reset' that helps me reverse the effects of overstimulation. dunno how i'd cope without their music now.

Damn bruh. Always loved shooting the shit about hammock with ya. Seems like this isn't doing it for a lot of long time fans. I really like it. All good

It's definitely an album to put on shuffle while doing chores. The end is the beginning hits so hard every time

this feels very hammock by numbers on me on first listen. Which means it's very good, but i don't really how this is a standout release for them yet

This band helps me through my darkest days so I adore everything they do. Both personally and just in general.

last song here is so good
the string of ambient albums starting w mysterium didnt really compel me so this band fell off my radar hard enough that i didnt even realize this came out until today but it is good stuff

this sadly never clicked with me. might be my least favourite hammock overall. the abandonment of the vast orchestrals is really sad for me because it's my favourite era of the band. i don't get that immersive feeling i usually get with hammock records. don't dislike it and it has some lovely tracks but overall... eh.

Album really harkens back to their “glory days” for me. They’re at their best when they’re not a fully ambient band

hmm I only somewhat liked this at first but the middle of this is really hitting well right now. I Would Stare, Undoing and Absorbed in Light have some lovely textures.
"They’re at their best when they’re not a fully ambient band"
agreed, though I think their two best albums (Oblivion Hymns and Everything & Nothing) are polar opposites. They can do 'fully ambient' really well, and if you picked the best tracks out of the Mysterium - Elsewhere run you'd have something amazing. IO just think they overdid it for a bit there.

the songs in that four album stretch work great in a shuffle play but those albums are way too monochromatic for full listens
