I'm very impressed by how good everyone sounds. Like you wouldn't have known they disappeared for over a decade just by listening to this. An incredible record, really.

The only REAL sign of age is in Jordan's harsh vocals, his cleans sound unchanged. Rest of the group is on point.
It is indeed incredible how fine this is.

gonna slap a 4 on this one but that 4.5 potential feels real

I've had a shitty few weeks and this album is fun enough to work up to a 4.5 because that's how I operate I guess

I heard Dearly Beloved a while ago and thought it was pretty dope. Hope the rest of the album is as cool as that song was.

These guys were never particularly big, they just had a small cult following. One of their songs ("4/16" I think) was in a video game as well, if I recall.

This is gonna get lost due to a massive line of new albums, but I'm quite falling in love with it.

Burnout 3. That's the only reason I heard about them.

So odd how it made its way on that. Someone in development must have been a secret fan.

That soundtrack had a couple of smaller names on it too. The Outline, Go Betty Go, Chronic Future. Tho I have no idea how anyone went about finding smaller acts back then lol.

Its really cool how videogames back then would put obscure artists on their soundtracks. Bands like these guys, Finch, Darkest Hour, At The Gates, Blindside, Hundred Reasons, CKY etc would all just randomly show up on a racing game or a Tony Hawk game and then completely shape someone's musical taste growing up.

Those old Tony Hawk soundtracks were amazing. I remember "Superman" by Goldfinger being so catchy it stuck with me since I was a kid. Took me until high school to finally track it down.

"God vs. I" is seriously Song of the Year material. One of the best vocal performances I've heard in a long time, it's absolutely chilling.

yeah I never heard of this band but if I had heard Love Is Worth It in 2004 it would have been formative
absolutely loving this so far, feels like a love letter to early 2000s posthardcore with enough energy and talent to not feel like a cheap retread. The vocals are unique but they're definitely working for me

Madden 2004 featuring All that's Left by Thrice being the reason I discovered one of my favorite bands is one of life's weirdest twists
also blindside!! of course real OGs had the debut from our local Christian bookstore and were just stoked that other people discovered one of the finest bands in the genre

We need to bring back those old-school style soundtracks. Those were always just a great grab-bag of hits. I got into Lupe Fiasco because of Madden 07, I think it has "The Instrumental" on it.
