Got my preorder 2 days ago. While tracks like “Blood Spiller” don’t do it for me, and like the OP, I may somewhat have preferred a different direction, this is growing on me and I may soon be obsessed with it.

Floating Skulls, Blinded by a Blaze, Amaranthine, Heavy Pendulum, Careless Offering are all spectacular. I could do without “blood spiller”, “reckoning” and the interludes. That may cut on the bloat.

Currently at the t/t, the album sounds really tight. Agree on the comparison to Failure
