if you end your review with "lots more to unpack from this album," that's a sign that you may have pulled the cake out of the oven too early.

yeah, review is a few jumbled thoughts with no cohesive opinion on the album as a whole.

Wow this is fucking good. Like MOM but heavier and a bit more varied. Have to let it settle in but very well may be their best album, AAL and JoM may still be better for me but time will tell.

As always, a community of music experts who have never written a song or are able to notate a C major scale in

treble clef offer their insight about an album that went in one ear and out the other simply because it’s not music

to play in the background while they get yelled at by mother for leaving their dirty dishes in the sink. This album is

simply too difficult, too dense for the average Sputnikmusic Ebert slash Roeper to comprehend. If this was

Radiohead, perhaps even Oasis, one could imagine the accolades it would accumulate. Unfortunately the lack of

power chords and high pitched, emotive vocals is enough to generate the expected apathy of an entire website

of people that give high praise to the likes of Brand New and Charli XcX.

Negged, shit review by a complete amateur. I mean who the fuck still does track by track reviews anymore? What is this? 2006? Actually you can’t even really call this a review, it’s literally just a bunch of thoughts scribbled together but no real opinion on the album as a whole.

1. Pika giving it a 2.5 is more than I expected

2. Asmodeuss, if you think a track by track review was the issue with this review and not the fact that it's barely a coherent opinion, then idek what to say.

Guy doesn't have many comments, likes, or reviews. If he is a legitimate user who finally gained the courage to post and share their opinion then I wanna be supportive and offer constructive criticism...

When you sit down with a review, identify what your thesis is and then work backwards conceptually from there. I know some users have done train-of-thought/ reactionary reviews but those aren't as interesting/ well-written imo.

Didn't read the original review, what you have up there now was readable and snappy. It does the job. I'm not a big fan of the 3,000 word reviews full of arm chair psychology on an artist's mental state.
