I really dig how she spelt sucks as "sux" instead!
Fr tho might check this out. I like lady voices and Miss Lavigne brought the cheese nicely back in the day

I know my daughter is excited to hear this, she did not like her last couple, so this going back to pop punk will be welcome at my house

I read the review and noticed that she has a guest rapper or whatever you want to call that dude, but
nothing says something actually "sux" more than having guest rappers on non hip hop releases

Album is actually her best in forever, but this review is written extremely weird lol. lots of oddly structured sentences, had to do double takes a few times lmao

I'm glad people are enjoying this, but this is just another Avril album for me (good, not amazing). Goodbye Lullaby is still her ceiling IMO.

Doesn’t move her music forward, but as a return to basic pop punk fun, it works well.

Got the breakdown from my daughter, this shot up to be her second fave Avril after 3 listens
Loves cannonball, the title track
She gave it an early 4
I have a hard time rating things like this, do I won’t

This album is not as bad as the previous one. But it's not good either. Too generic, samey, 2000's like... It feels like there is no real progress between then and now. And the lyrics!!! If she would be 17, I would understand but she's almost 40 and therefore it's so cringey. I really liked Avril 20 years ago but now I can't listen to her new stuff with a serious face.

I don't mind the immature lyrics because it's clear she's going for a throwback vibe (in a lot of ways, this is just a watered down Best Damn Thing), but the songs just aren't that catchy? I mean some of them are, but 3-4 memorable songs when all Lavigne has going for her are her melodies doesn't really do it for me. I still think Best Damn Thing and Goodbye Lullaby was her best era.
