Yeah, I definitely can't agree with your rating here.. absolutely fantastic album.. "Death to the Holy" and "Emersion" are one of the best metal songs that I heard in the last years.. such a unique, interesting and briliant avangarde metal album .. those transitions between different music genres are so smooth and cool .. every thing fits together..

Yeah, this is definitely going on my GOTY list at the end of this year

I was semi looking forward to this, but the last single they released put me off completely. I’ll give the full album a good listen, though, as that may have been an outlier.

this felt like a cut above Stranger Fruit at times but cohesion-wise it is a bit of a clusterfuck for sure. the band are fun tho

Great review. I like this band, but they do frustrate me. I'm confident I'm going to be more forgiving in my score, but I think yours is fair.

If this band went full atmoblack, it could be really sick. I can hear in my head how the intro track would sound as a 10 minute atmoblack song, and it would blend so well.



Most of the "modern metal" melodeath/alt-metal blend stuff that they end up going with instead is super hard to actually blend their gimmick into.
