This is a 4. That's what I would rate it anyway.

Took me a few listens to fully digest all of this but I am thinking of raising my score to a 4.5 this is just enough experimenting to forward Persefone's sound without abandoning the core sound they have had on all albums. I cant get over how amazing the instruments are for this album but as always another amazing release. Fantastic review. I was a little weirded out by Aware of being Watched cause of no heavy vocals now its one of my favorite songs just flows so well! Love this band and such a fantastic release.

Imo not as good as Aathma or Spiritual Migration, but still a very good album. Katabasis is my favourite song of the year so far.

I apparently 3.5'd Spiritual Migration but I remember nary a note, but because of Mars' lovely writing I will give this a spin. Off to a good start, but homogeneity is usually the undoing for bands of this ilk so we'll see how it holds up

Don't know if this has been said before, but the intro to Anabasis Pt. II is so punchy, it just enters full force and then a blast-beat haha

Their clean vocals have come such a long way. He has really impressed me on this one.

I used to rate stuff like there was no tomorrow, until I realized that none of it was real.

Don't try to rate the album. It's impossible. The album isn't there.

Tracks like "Leap of Faith" are so boring and mindless filler. I also dislike the slow hollow moments in the songs that literally take up a minute out of the song. Spiritual Migration is more tasteful because it keeps the flow and piano going and going. Overall, still an excellent prog metal album. The good songs on here carry it to a high degree ngl.

"Leap of Faith" is stellar man. Perfect transition piece with a great climax.

Not a bad track but it didn't match the instrumentals of Aathma or SM very much tbh
