" Convinced that DGD must just be providing the instrumentation, I looked up the album credits and am absolutely shocked to find: "Pearson performed vocals, guitar, bass, keyboards, and synthesizers on the album, as well as additional programming and production"
I am way more impressed with Tillian. I want to recant what I just said 5 minutes ago."
Yea man Tilian is a beast, he wrote a lot in Tides of Man and you can really tell he still has some of that style in his solo work

Secret Band is DGD minus Tillian
'Holy Water' off this album is DGD minus Mess
That song specifically really just hits me as a DGD song.

Yea Holy Water has a very DGD feel to it. Most of them have a Tides feel but that one screams DGD in the chorus with the guitar part

"Imagination has awesome Chon vibes"
Tim Henson of Polyphia played guitar on that track.
This is definitely my favorite solo album's Tilian's done. A bit darker and weirder/more experimental than his other solo stuff, but still distinct from his work in DGD.
