this band deserves much more attention, their music sounds very cinematic to me, get a Swans vibe but also a death/doom vibe, similar to Swallow the sun I think in some areas. But their music sounds oddly accessible to me as well, there's no harsh vocals, I think the songs are fairly easy to get into, I think this band has a high demographic reach to where a lot of people with varying taste can enjoy it, could be wrong tho.

They lost me after the crafty ape. Giving this one a whirl on the off chance it’ll be decent. Impressed so far I have to say.

Glad to see this getting some traction. I'm personally enjoying it a lot, probably some of the best material they have ever written, and the features are on point.

Well, this just shot up into my top 3 albums this year. It's amazing how many styles they amalgamated into one coherent whole and managed to keep the final product sound so inextricably tight. Already feeling that 5 potential, bois

Hahaha zaka I have had both. It was just a figure of speech for the review, I love them equally, although right now, because of house space and all that, I only have a cat.

i think before cbp struggled a bit to sound cohesive but here the songwriting is razor sharp and so emotionally poignant

which is all the more impressive when you consider the prominence of session vocalists

Agree there, seems they finally found their groove. The way Belinda's voice floats around Gaahl's croons in "In the Night" is driving me mad in the best possible way.

Wasn't super keen on their last album so was gonna give this a miss but this review (and it being a bit of dud week for me!) have persuaded me to give this a shot.

Seems like something I should check out. I liked 200 Tons of Bad Luck well enough, but haven't really listened to much else. Good review!

Can’t wait to jam it when I get home. Their last album was my AOTY when it came out, so really keen to see if this’ll top it.
