You done a good thing dude. Now start working on a vicious black metal follow up to this. Think icy peaks and barren rock - - that would be swell.

Bit too fantastical for me, this one.

Yeah, my first impression on this was really solid but it wore off on me quick. No desire to come back to it really.

My take is that this has the atmosphere, but lacks the memorable melodies that made his debut so amazing. What I love about Allelic is that the project manages to craft these epic atmospheres (as we witness here) and balance it with accessibility. This is still a great album, but there's nothing here with the gorgeous versatility and ferocious bite of 'In Blissful Ignorance', or the lush, rural beauty of 'As Stars Shimmer Upon the Ritual' or 'Elusive Prayers for an Absent God.' Basically, this is solid with a gorgeous atmosphere (he's got that aesthetic on lock), but it lacks any superb highlights to force someone to want to return.

New independent/non-album related track. It's mostly acoustic. Here's the bandcamp link for those interested: https://allelic.bandcamp.com/track/les-berges-de-minuit
Should be up on Spotify within 2 weeks. As always, thanks for the support!

Any news on a potential follow-up? :]
I jammed this for the first time in well over a year and it's even better than I remembered it to be. Bumping to a (well deserving) 4.5

This one was good but the debut is still by far my preferred album. Hoping for more material in the near future!
