Everyone gets ear fatigue, even if not aware of it. Your ability to discern subtleties in the music decrease over time. Their very boxy and high presence mixes tire out my ears faster than most albums.

I think La Resistance is my favorite here so far, will probably make the gym playlist. It’s different for them but still fits their sound, great hooks, and the electronics ironically lead to more room to breathe in the mix, especially since they back off the double kick.

Yeah he does. One of my favorite things of this album too is the production. Most metal records now just sound & feel so processed and soulless. This feels organic and real, like it could be from an earlier time.

Truther and Critical Mass are absolutely bonkers and some of the best songs they've ever written imo

Great album, but I wouldn't put it anywhere near the early material

Critical Mass is a cover but yeah agreed those two back to back are insane, rarely have they been that aggressive. The thrashy screams in Critical Mass slay.

"Critical Mass is a cover..."

I kinda figured it was judging by how stripped down it sounded compared to rest of the album. Wouldn't mind hearing some original tracks like that from them, though.

I'm honestly surprised Marcus can still scream the way he does.
First time I heard "The Weapon They Fear" I was already thinking like that was the end of his vocal chords

His vocals are so crisp on this one, too. I'm glad his style is safe for his chords after all.
