Now I've read your rev Nocte....its pretty much as brilliant as accurate and v nice journey through the album...cool enough you don't mention Gojira, which I caught immediately, but those Mastodon I only started to feel them on later listens.

Also lol at "light sludge". V good man...my friends always mock at me when I show something to them, saying like "its sluuuuudge" because they never heard of it as a genre until I started to bore their asses up with it lol I insisted this was not quite sludge this time to make them listen, I guess...

ahah I love it so much it doesn't belong in #1

Last year's CoL was an exception X)

back to the rev, I also agree on the opener: "it almost hurts to say that this is the album’s only musically weak leak."

I prefer the instrumental opener over the next two songs tbh

Kabuddah is like the most boring song on the album

offcourse Pika, because of that Tool riff...let the others have fun with it...

Nothing to do with it being a whatever riff. These guys are fine when it comes to decent post-metal, but they lack a subtlety that makes the forerunners of the genre stand head and shoulders above the rest. As I've said before, last three songs rule, everything else is a goddamn boring riff slog - with occasional glimpses of genius.
