''Moonchild'', their obligatory improv doesn't do much to me, but the rest is stellar and makes the difference. It's the first prog album ever to me, despite Procol Harum. Moody Blues and co... ''Epitaph'' and ''i Talk To The Wind'' are filled with so much emotions they give me shivers everytime. ''21st Century'' is so hard and rebel...so tasteful. ''The Court'' is profound and melancholic and so on.
I posd, bro.
Merry Christmas and best wishes!

Moonchild was a miss for me 10 years ago but now it’s my favorite track next to Schizoid Man. What a geniusly formed improv

Thanks to all of you by your comments, even those about grammar, lol. Seriously. It's always interesting to know more about all things, whatever they may be.
Thanks, Merry Christmas and best wishes to all of you. We'll see us here next year with more prog.

Nice review, and it reminded me of how much I love this record. Minor nitpick would be that The Moody Blues - Days of Future Passed came two years before this and espoused many of the same aesthetic qualities that became coined as "progressive"; the albums even shared the same producer. This is a popular reference point for the birth of prog, but I'd go back to The Moody Blues.

To be quite fair about the connection, the Moody's producer was forced onto them by Island and was promptly ditched after a few sessions solely because the guy wanted them to sound like the Moody's
