listened to it on my little tablet speakers and the production wasn't that noticeable but I suppose that's the point.
ok I jammed the first track with headphones and it's quite noticeable. The drums didn't want to murder me as much as they did on Purple but it's still not a very good sound.

The mix is as bad an distracting as it was on Purple IMO. Which is BAD, hard to do something worse. That said, for the most part I like the music better this time. Definitely the one I've enjoyed the most since Blue. If it wasn't for production I'd give it a very solid 4, but with such a glaring and unavoidable issue I'll probably end up giving it a 3.5. It takes away so much from the listening experience... just like most people I don't get why they've been doing this on purpose, they're ruining an otherwise excellent album.
