@atari Zerfall and Silere from Epos is such a great one two punch. same with Beneath the Crown of Cranes and Giving Their Heir to the Masses from Suffocationg. from Aeon, Carved Into Shadows and To Carry Myself to the Gave are probably my favorites. and from Atrophy, Brood and Ephemerol.

Dang Adolf, don’t give up on it. Try it a few more times. Might be one of those elusive growers. Fun Fact: my most massive and surprising grower in the history of my music experience is Altar Of Plagues - Teethed Glory And Injury. My first couple spins I thought it was awful. After many more it became one of my favorite albums of all time. Still amazes me that incredible turn around. I stuck with it.

@atari that one seems to get overlooked, its definitely worth a jam imo.

@team unfortunately my second listen only cemented further how i felt on the first listen instead of growing on me :[ im gonna give it a rest and come back to it another time and hopefully ill change my mind.

Excellent review old boy, I can’t help but justify a solid 4 for this. Last year was very death metal orientated, glad to see the more ‘black/bleaker’ projects are taking a strong stance this year.

I’m tentatively leaning towards a 4/5 as well, the album is a nice surprise. Hoping time is kind to it.

I m surprised with your opinion Adolf. Album has flooring tracks, like 'Guided Through a Starless Night' f.e. My discog binge yesterday was awesome too. Think my fave is suffocating. Good rating demon! Expected rating hawks, but you re gonna bump. Have a Nice sunday you all!
