Yeah this is not on the line of idk, Mayhem and all that bunch, it has a death metal vibe, like Hawks said and even sludges here and there with the kickdrum going nuts. Definitely a good album, hope you enjoy it teamster.

I said it before but it was Nocte who pointed me in the direction of this album, I didn't even know of this album/band before. Quite the discovery tbh, so all credit to the man.

I hear some Ulcerate in this and it's not a bad thing
|

They actually toured with them I believe.

Yeah I could see that too. I’d def say these guys lean more towards the dm side with bm elements mixed in.

Yo anyone got suggestions for black metal similar to this?
Like, filthy riffs, a pronounced low end, and a hint of atmosphere?

this is a bloated deathspell imitation. still pretty damn good but can't shake the comparison

Eh I don’t see that honestly.
|

Yeah this sounds nothing like Deathspell Omega, it's far more straightforward, and definitely not an imitation. If anything closer to Behemoth in that sense.
|
| |
this sounds like something I would dig, will check
|
| |
there is definitely a deathspell omega influence here, but even more notably ulcerate influence here.

I think people are trying too hard to find influences where’s there really is not. I mean if I listen hard enough (and find the right shrooms...) I can hear some early Beatles for sure.

Trve, that blast in Combustion is straight out from Eleanor Rigby.
