Need to jam this again. Remember liking the second half a lot.

I forgot to listen to it. And I should have, it's heavily inspired with Piotrek's death which happened right after he left from Winery Dogs concert on which I've been too. Also, my dad's crazy on the album, said them playing it live was one of the best concerts he's ever been to. And this guy has seen young Dream Theater, King Crimson and many more in their times of pride.
So, just started, about in half of Acid Rain. I'll let you know what I think after I'm done

well it's okey, but nothing special to be honest. As usual with Riverside everything is laid down and it feels like Pink Floyd with a little little grunge and modern sound effects

And also a little little Muse this time

The singles didn't really intrigue me enough

Same here. Pity, they were on a roll.

there's something about the guitar sound on the album that feels pretty tame, or neutral to me

Only listened to the singles off this I think. Wish I was intrigued to check the rest of the songs out

Just noticed I already said that above
Well I guess it's safe to say my feelings haven't changed

Yeah, sadly this doesn't excite me as much as I'd hoped. Some of it is nice and it isn't bad, but they can do so much better.

Maybe Piotr had a bigger role in the songwriting process than I thought

A very sad but probably very accurate conclusion.

Maybe they just need a break.
Michal has been working on a solo album forever, maybe he can focus on releasing it. Mariusz has a billion projects, and Priotr will find something

I feel this is too generic for what they've been up to over the past few years. Loved the direction of LF&tTM, that was pretty cool! Pity they're not exploring that direction further, although also understandable they aren't in the mood to release something as soft or easy-going right now.
Some solo stuff would be interesting, agreed!

When Love came out I had been hoping for the band to have experimented more and taken risks. Since the album felt "safe" I was unnecessarily hating it passively, even though I genuinely enjoyed it from the first time I heard it
Even though I think they could have experimented more on top of the solid platform the songs provided, and that would have made the album stronger imo, over the past couple of years I've listened to it the most out of all their albums

Yeah, agreed 100%. It's very nice, they do that style really well and I feel like they've left room to explore there too. Who knows?

I wonder if the title track is inspired by ennio morricone's scores

Got tickets to see them in ten days but this damn corona virus is spreading and they already canceled a few dates in Italy (I'm in Croatia which is really close). I'll be pissed if they cancel this show as well
