I'm trying to think of a time in Toby's career when he took the musical themes and styles from one album and built upon and improved them in a subsequent album, and I can't really come up with anything. I wonder how far he can take this style if he keeps running with it.

Blood posting this release has been one of the worst launches they've had on bandcamp. No one's buying it.

IDK what you’re talking about necropig. There’s plenty of people who’ve bought it on Bandcamp last I checked this morning.

Only going by what the post was saying, only 7 physical sold. 131 showing on bandcamp purchases atm.

Oh ok, I didn’t know you meant physicals sold via Bandcamp. They’ve probably got plenty more sold on their actual webstore cause CDs are sold there too, and the vinyl is only available there as of now.

Never heard of Piggy Black Cross, I'll be sure to check it out. Tartar Lamb is great for people who like his neo-classical and gothic approach. Have there been any rumblings about a new Kayo Dot?

“Have there been any rumblings about a new Kayo Dot?”

Yes! Toby’s posted pictures earlier this year in the studio while recording the new KD album. Songs from the forthcoming record will make their live debut during their set at Prophecy Fest USA in November with the album coming out on their newly signed deal w/the label sometime afterwards. No release date set, but there’ll be a formal announcement about the album/their signing with Prophecy sometime soon.

this is from the web flac i got from the blood music bandcamp

there's a constant high pitched frequency whine across all the tracks that makes this album completely unlistenable

edit: the album has now been remastered to remove this, blood music/toby are awesome

Getting excited for new Kayo Dot, who knows what it’ll sound like.

This is like post-rock meets chamber music or something, I don’t really know.

Probably the album of the decade tbh. Maybe even the best album of the 21st century.
