it's those bands filtered into a modernized indie pop filter. so any of those bands (Vinyl Theater came on the suggested shuffle afterwards) would prob suffice

urg, page break

Stay Out is by far the angstiest of the bunch. I do enjoy Gay a fair amount as well. I hear what you are talking about Sowing. Your "modernized spin on late 90's to early 2000's rock" take rings true. Kurt died in 94' and this def reminds me more of the sanitized alt that followed in the wake. Brings to mind band like Our Lady Peace, Tonic, and Fountains of Wayne, and Fuel for me.

Not bad in any way but also not challenging or dangerous in any way.

agreed @WatchItExplode

sort of reminds me what BN would have sounded like if they got signed to a really mainstream label and sold out a little but not completely lol

a couple of their songs seem to be in the vein of Can't Get It Out, but safer

Not sure if everyone read through the whole thread so I'm just gonna keep spamming the other 2 songs of theirs:

Lol it even occurred to me to look up the band picture because he sounds so much like Jesse at times. Thought maybe they were releasing stuff under an alt band name. But nah, definitely not Brand New.

certain tracks are Nirvana-y but as a whole it doesn't "sound like Nirvana"
