It’s really not bad. In fact it’s got several of their best songs I think with “Graffiti,” “Forever,” “Wonderland,” and “Graves.” It’s just a shame it’s bogged down with a lot of half-assed ideas (“My Enemy,” “God’s Plan,” “Miracle”, and that shitty little interlude). Honestly if it were an EP with the 4 or 5 best tracks here it’d be pretty awesome.

["miracle" prechorus and chorus] = [taylor swift's "i knew you were trouble"] + [generic imagine dragons song]

sounds absolutely like neither

like i could basically see the imagine dragons comparisons if you're ignorant enough to think they invented putting woahs behind a chorus, but i seriously cannot see how you see i knew you were trouble in that

the thrilling history of woahs in song choruses
nobody said they invented them tho

There's a lot of negative things to say here (album cover, some really cringey moments in most of the singles that were released), but "Get Out," "Graffiti," "Heaven/Hell" and "Graves" all bop.
At the end of the day, it's still their worst release, but it doesn't deserve as much hate as it's been getting.

I'll still give it a listen, but sad to see that the consensus seems to be it's not good.

it's not the worst thing i've ever heard, but it's not on the better side of the 3.0 line. I expect more

This. 100%. I don’t think the average should be below a 3. Like a 3.1 or 3.2 would make sense I think. And after EOE, this shouldn’t be that jarring. They were moving to more commercialized pop in that album. It would make sense that this would be the next step, even though I’d prefer the TBOWYB days

This group got a lot of Pet Shop Boys comparisons on their first album. It's a shame they've thrown all of that influence out of the window.

Graffiti, Graves and Wonderland are the best tracks on here. Album makes me really appreciate every open eye

I think Wonderland is growing to be my favorite. The electronics are amazing.

First album was so good, at least we'll always have that.

yea I avoided the obvious Imagine Dragons comparison in the review, but I feel like it's more about the overall feel of Miracle than the woah-oahs. It very much tries to capture the extremely bombastic 'massive pop song' feel of ID, and while I'd say it's better than anything that band has done in the past five years, it's still pretty bad.

Comparing Miracle to ID is the laziest comparison ever oh my god

The "chorus" to Miracle is just downright disappointing.

Nothing about Miracle disappoints me, but Never Say Die is currently my favourite. Add Graffiti, Get Out, Forever, Graves, Heaven/Hell and Wonderland, and this is a great album for me. It's so colourful. I even like the cover. I'm just going to enjoy it and hope the buzz lasts.

ZEDD, The Chainsmokers, almost any DJ could have made the music for this record, most of which is bland and uninspiring.

I almost feel like tweeting Lauren Mayberry something that will piss her off, given she's a reactionary tool who thinks she's a revolutionary feminist.
