"Someone also needs to explain the album art to me"

Its a scale model of a Hotel+Casino spinning on an old tape machine. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I like it, better than the AM artwork which are a bunch of frequency waves...

"Didn't realise the next Last Shadow Puppets album had come so quickly"

Nah, TLSP are guitar-strumming Britpop, with romance-movie-soundtrack orchestral arrangements thrown on top, this is nothing like that.

The only similarity I can see, is that both are more mellow than the usual gainy guitar rock sound, but that's about it. (Well and Alex Turner singing, but that was always gonna happen on a Monkeys record, wasn't it? =))

Yeah, this one is actually probably the only album art of theirs that has anything to do with the music on the album.

Well, yeah, lol. But that pretains to all music, not AM in particular, so it only has anything to do with what's on the album in a VERY broad sense.

My favorite monkeys moments were always the ones when they chilled out and got all sexy... shes thunderstorms, mad sounds, party anthem... and it’s like they expanded that part of their sound into a full length, so this album is a godsend for me.

But then again AM was my first album of theirs and I was immediately enamored with the desert rock vibes and upon visiting their older albums, they really just don’t do it for me. So I guess I’m a shitty monkeys fan but this album is all I could’ve asked for from them

Last shadow puppets + AM = You have this. and i dont agree with a 5, it doesnt even look reasonable giving a straight 5. this is not the score it deserves
