tbh i don't care about the 'this sounds like DG' comparison
What i truly despise is the absolute lack of flow and bop in the production... even if it's 'technically on time' it feels jittery, tumbly and awkward as fuck consistently throughout 90% of the record.
It never made me bop my head even ONCE. like, that's a complete and utter failure in my book.
If you fuhx with that's ok but i like my hup-hep with lotsa swing and boppy production.

The jittery-ness of this album is why I like it so much... you just never know what's gonna happen next, even measure to measure

yea, i see how you could like this... IMO, and contrary to DG, it just feels too random, like it goes nowhere.
Ugly and gritty, yes, but passionless.

Well to be fair I said this sorta reminded me of Exmilitary (even the names of the albums are synonyms lol), not that he looks/sounds just like MC Ride.
Like the first thing I thought of when I heard "Real Nega" and "Rainbow Six" was that they had that same deranged vibe of say "Spread Eagle Cross the Block" or "Thru the Walls". DG's song writing is obviously much more concise and straightforward but I think they obtain similar moods.
On the flip side I find it super interesting how clean and accessible this guy sounds when he chooses to. He executes the "Curb Stomp"s just as well as he executes the "1539 N. Calvert"s and it makes the album super consistent when you take into account the wide range of sounds and aesthetics he dabbles into.

Dug about half of these tracks but the other half was a chore. Like quite a few of the ideas here though. Also I have a friend who is quite literally the real life version of this guys raps

I dig this pretty hard save for a few tracks but, after seeing him live, I wish he would keep his vocals as raw and aggressive as they are during his live performances. Songs like "Real nega" sound alot better when he's really going in
