I cannot believe there are people who still think posting 5's, especially ones that are very well received, counts for literally anything at all.

Agalloch The White
"The White" ep is essentially The Mantle if they stripped down the black metal influences and stuck entirely with the folk aspect of it, and it's truly gorgeous, The acoustic bit at the end of "The Isle of Summer" will warm the most languid of souls, as will all of the sparkling melodies off this album.
Agalloch The Mantle
This took awhile for me to truly get into, but bloody hell it's gorgeous. It's sweet, somber, yet warm and embraceable all at the same time. It only encompasses peace the farther you get into it. Furthermore it's all done so in a way that's not truly describable.
Amia Venera Landscape The Long Procession
August Burns Red Rescue & Restore
Be'lakor Stone's Reach
Breakdown of Sanity Perception
Caladan Brood Echoes Of Battle
This is the world's best album ever and don't you dare dispute it.
Candlemass Epicus Doomicus Metallicus
City of Caterpillar City of Caterpillar
Converge Jane Doe
On "Jane Doe" Converge creates an album that feels like a harpoon piercing your flesh. The drums blast away like a frantic pulse, the guitar riffs so like constant unrestrained havok akin to star going supernova, and the vocals sound like with each enraged shriek blood will spew forth as the vocalist shreds his throat. It's the anger of the universe in a compact disc, ready to be spilled out unto the listener.
Counterparts The Difference Between Hell and Home
Brendan Murphy is a goddamn poet. This album resonates with me almost too personally. It helped me get through the worst of my depression even. My favorite song by band will always be "Decay".
Cryptopsy None So Vile
Dismember Like an Ever Flowing Stream
Dissection Storm of the Light's Bane
DJ Shadow Endtroducing...
The actual quality of the music is incredible and ethereal, but really, that it wasn't makes this album so great. It's the marriage of things that weren't supposed to be, integrated so seamlessly you would have never known they weren't meant to be. DJ Shadows takes being a DJ to a higher level that wasn't nor will ever be attained by other DJ's. That is perhaps the magic of it as well-it is the only album of its kind, and really, there is close to no other musician that can hold such an honor.
