'King Gizz are unabashedly boring prog-lite for tradies who want to seem intellectual.'

Most recent rating: Linkin Park 'The Hunting Party' 4/5

Eh, The Hunting Party isn't a revolutionary record but at least it's fun and enjoyable. Gizz are neither revolutionary nor enjoyable, and Gizzfest is a fucking joke from the coverage I've seen.

Linkin Park more like Stinkin Park amirite?

Band's released twelve albums in six years and has managed to stay consistently good, colour me impressed.

Good review, will check this for sure

as long as it doesn't rain i'll be happy. They're playing under a tent anyway I'm quite sure so there'll be plenty of shade.

this is a more subdued album than I was expecting.

For those comments questioning the microtonal tuning, the answer is yes. Stu McKenzie and Joey Walker both play re-fretted (24 fret) electric guitars, Ambrose Kenny-Smith uses modified harmonica, and the bassists guitar is also re-fretted. In my opinion, if you listen closely you can hear it on all album they've released this year apart from 'Sketches'.

edit: that's what I've read anyways, will try to cite this if I can find the source.

No, there's some microtonal stuff on Sketches, not sure about MOTU though.
